Harold Kennedy's kitchen yields the beans that can't be matched

2 cans Bush's Baked Beans Original family size (28 ozs)
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 1/2 ounces yellow prepared mustard
4 ounces bbq sauce
4 ounces ketchup
1/2 pound bacon, or pulled pork
1 medium onion, chopped
black pepper, to taste

* Open and drain juices from baked beans.
* Mix beans, brown sugars, mustard, bbq sauce and ketchup.
* Chop onions
* Cut bacon into 2 inch pieces. In skillet, brown bacon until crisp and onions until soft. coat with pepper and heat (wok works nicely)
* Add bacon/onions to bean mixture. Heat through on low heat or grill until hot and bubbly, stirring occasionally. The longer the beans are heated the thicker they become.
* HINT: on open grill (350°) cook about 2hrs...in a oven (200°) about 8hrs.
* Be careful NOT to burn the bottom of the pot as the beans carmelize. Serve hot.
